Uplift Microfinance is empowering Tanzanian women by providing group loans that foster collaboration, accountability, and economic freedom.
In the outskirts of Dodoma, a women’s tailoring group known as Nguvu Moja received a group loan of TZS 3 million from Uplift Microfinance. This funding enabled them to purchase industrial sewing machines and expand their customer base to nearby schools and institutions.
“Before this loan, we worked from home. Now we have a shop, uniforms to supply, and hope for our children,” said group chairperson Mwanahamisi Juma.
